the Beginning

I want to start a new blog to keep track and chronicle all my quilting work.  I think it will be much more interesting than just picture files i have on my computer....  andd.... i might just learn something about computers in the process!

I will start with my January projects for this year....

Olde Glory flag quilt
This quilt was started a year ago, and I had fun making it with my quilting friends, the QT's.

I started the UFO challenge with Country Threads quilt shop and this was the first # chosen to finish of my list.

Below are the first 2 blocks of the Country Threads free block of the month I decided to start doing...  They will eventually be a Christmas quilt!

Quilt along block
Pam Buda offered this little block quilt along on her website and i started on it as well... i decided to do something in blue, since i have lots of scraps cut up in that color. Unfortunately, i only did the 1st 3 blocks of this one, so will have to go back to it another day......

Primitive Gatherings ScrapBasket Blocks
Here is fun project that is making use of all those little scraps I have been cutting up for a long time.  These little blocks are only 6", and they have LOTS of little pieces-- one of them has 72 pieces in it!!  http://www.primitivegatherings.us/shop/

Now we come to my lovely Apple Jack quilt.  I started this one a couple of years ago and it was sitting in my UFO box to be quilted.  I just love the vintage looking colors in it...  the pattern is by Country Threads.  It makes a nice Christmas quilt too.I quilted it in January, and it will be ready right away when its # gets picked for the challenge!
I also made a toddler Hawkeye jacket and 2 ISU toddler jackets for a friend at work...

So that has kept me busy for sure, but I love making things..especially to use my creativity!
